A brief dip in form, coupled with a slightly different race schedule this season saw VC Montpellier plunge all the way back to the depths of Division 7 [or is 6 as far as you can go with points...?]. A massive reduction in points came about after Van Kamp's run of consistant results hit a small speed bump. No longer keeping the points ticking over meant the team lost its placing in the Division, and had to settle for lower levels.
Not to be deterred by such circumstances, the team instead took it upon themselves to support Van Kamp to as many results as possible.
A 3rd at Lanark-Hamilton (a race Van Kamp has previously won), with a 3rd and 2nd at two cobbled races, backed up by Hamlin Domachowski's occasional race result (3rd at Spitak) saw our resplendant re-rise to the bottom of Division 4 (courtesy really due to some other poor team falling from the Division).
Looking on the bright side of things, it means Van Kamp has plucked up an extra podium position compared to last season, along with the much needed coins. Coins well spent (we hope) on our Cypriot hilly giant.
